Game News Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels expansion is coming very soon, but Xbox players are going to be disappointed!
Yesterday, at the start of the evening, players from all over the world and, more particularly, Xbox players had to follow the conference held by the American manufacturer with Bethesda. During this hour and a half communication, the duo presented many games among which was Forza Horizon 5. The title of Playground Games soon welcomes a Hot Wheels extension, but there is a small detail to know.
- Always further, always faster
- It stalls on the side of Xbox Game Pass subscribers
Always further, always faster
At Playground Games and Turn 10, we really appreciate racing cars and other four-wheeled cars. It is not for nothing that the second studio mentioned is back for an eighth installment in the Forza Motorsport franchise. In short, each studio has its foal, and while one is developing a new title, the other is doing everything possible to ensure an exemplary follow-up of the game: this is precisely the task that Playground Games is fulfilling thanks to the Hot Wheels expansion.
As revealed yesterday, therefore, the miniature cars of the Hot Wheels universe will offer themselves a hell of a trip to the Mexican lands of Forza Horizon 5. And the least we can say, given the success of the latest opus, is that there will be people on the roads. Recently, the title put the number of drivers who trod the asphalt and trails of Mexico at more than 20 million players. Beyond being a new opus that has some under the hood, Playground Games has given life to a steamroller.
It stalls on the side of Xbox Game Pass subscribers
When we take a look at the promises of this extension (200 km of colorful and crazy tracks, new vehicles, test laboratory, …), there is a very good chance that those who fell for the title have want to get your hands back on the wheel. Moreover, the game owes its incredible popularity to the fact that it was made available in the Xbox Game Pass, and this, as soon as it was released.
However, it will not be the same story for this extension since it will not be included in the Xbox Game Pass. Thereby, Forza Horizon 5 uses the same business model as its predecessors by making its DLCs chargeable and not including them in Microsoft’s subscription offer. Remember that the extension is expected for July 19 on computer, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One and that it will therefore be necessary to get your hands on the wallet by paying €19.99.
