Black Panther 2: Shuri and Okoye reveal themselves in photos

Expected in theaters on November 9, Black Panther 2 is revealed a little bit … via costumes that have leaked on the Internet! Check out Shuri and Okoye’s costumes and what appears to be a makeover for Shuri’s character.

Less than 5 months from the release of Black Panther Wakanda Forever, we still know little about the plot of this sequel.

Photos have leaked on social networks showing the costumes of Okoye (Danai Gurira) and Shuri (Letitia Wright). This is promotional material for a well-known brand of soda.

In these photos, both are posing with a nice glimpse of their outfits. The surprise in these photos is Letitia Wright’s brand new look costume. As we can see in the photo below, his look was quite different for the first opus.

As a reminder, the filming of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever had to be postponed following the death of Chadwick Boseman on August 28, 2020, in order to revise the script. Scenario which therefore remains very mysterious on the place that the various protagonists will occupy.

Recently, interviewed on the occasion of the Cannes Film Festival where she presented the film The Silent Twins by Agnieszka Smoczynska in the Un Certain Regard section, the interpreter of Shuri (T’Challa’s sister) agreed to say a few words about from Chadwick Boseman: “We honored him by fully committing to the story he started, the legacy he started with this franchise.

We worked hard day in and day out despite the problems we faced. We faced a lot of difficult situations, but we managed to overcome them and we gave our all for this film. I can’t wait for you to see it.”

A statement that goes in the same direction as that of Danai Gurira (Okoye) who spoke at the Met Gala. “The film tells a truly heartbreaking story. That’s all I can say ! We hope it resonates for everyone as it does for us. It’s a film honoring Chadwick. It’s an outpouring of love in his honor.”

Filming for Wakanda Forever began in June 2021, before being halted until January 2022 due to an injury to Letitia Wright. A setback which nevertheless did not impact the French release date of the film, still set for November 9, 2022.
