Game news Assassin’s Creed: The next opus soon to be revealed?

After announcing the arrival of new content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla during the event dedicated to the fifteenth anniversary of the series, Ubisoft took the floor again to give us a new appointment… Finally some news from Assassin’s Creed Infinity?

See you in September!

The event dedicated to the fifteenth anniversary of the series is already over… Unfortunately, the latter simply lingered on the new content to come in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or on the arrival of Assassin’s Creed Origins in 60fps on next-gen. Nevertheless, to satisfy all the players who expected more, Ubisoft took the floor a few minutes after the end of the Assassin’s Creed event to give a second appointment.

Ubisoft therefore gives us an appointment for next September to find out more about the future of the series, and that’s good, since many projects are already underway: between the free Assassin’s Creed Valhalla content that will land this winter and the stand-alone Assassin’s Creed Rift that would take place, according to various rumors, in Baghdad, there is also the Assassin’s Creed virtual reality project and perhaps even a new installment, given that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been available on our favorite machines for over two years now. Of course, that’s not all, remember, a certain Assassin’s Creed Infinity has also been in the works for many years now.

Any news from Assassin’s Creed Infinity?

It is moreover this famous Assassin’s Creed Infinity which makes us impatient. We would like to know more about this amazing project which is presented by Ubisoft as a kind of Assassin’s Creed “Metaverse” where many different eras and heroes come together. We therefore imagine that this new meeting, which will be held in September, will allow us to find out more about this experience unlike any other.

According to the rare information we have about it, Assassin’s Creed Infinity, despite its strong game-service side, will not be free-to-play, but a gargantuan project that should include “a lot of narrative elements”

It will be a very innovative game while having what players already have in all Assassin’s Creed games. Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft

About the Summer Game Fest

What is Summer Game Fest?

No E3 this year, but we can still count on another world-class event: the Summer Game Fest, a big show dedicated to announcements of video games to come this year or the following years. It was in 2020 that journalist and host Geoff Keighley launched this now unmissable festival for the first time. Last year, the show featured stunning images from Elden Ring; so inevitably, the third iteration raises high expectations.

When does Summer Game Fest 2022 start?

The Summer Game Fest is this Thursday, June 9 at 8 p.m. The show will once again be followed by a Day of the Devs session devoted to the independent scene.

How to follow the Summer Game Fest 2022?

On JV, we will react live to announcements from the LeStream channel alongside Maxildan and Aymeric Lallée in particular. The show will also be directly visible as a teaser on JV’s homepage. And for those who prefer reading, you will of course find our news throughout the conference. A written summary will also be available

What is the program for Summer Game Fest 2022?

Among the games not to miss, there is in particular the heir to Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol, which shows us its first gameplay images. For its part Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 presents us with its first level. Also on the program: Gotham Knights, Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course, the first game from Aaryn Flynn’s studio (ex-Bioware) Nightingale, the JRPG One Piece Odyssey, the free-to-play Warframe or even Planet of Lana. Geoff Keighley further announced: “We have a few new game announcements for this show and hopefully a few surprises if all holds together. But it’s definitely a show that mostly focuses on things that are foretold.”
